President’s Welcome

Dear RAE Families,

Spring is in the air, and there is so much excitement happening on our campus! One of my very favorite sights each year is driving up to school and seeing the beautiful International Festival country flags proudly lining the front of RAE. It’s such a powerful reminder of the diverse and vibrant community we are so lucky to be a part of. A very special thank you to Scout Troop 424 for helping with the flag installation again this year — we truly appreciate your time and service to our school!

This week, there is so much to look forward to as we head into spring break — celebrations, learning, and meaningful moments together. Thank you for being such an engaged and supportive community. RAE shines because of YOU.

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

This year's International Festival theme will be Playing Around the World. We're excited to celebrate our diverse school community and learn about different cultures, talents, and traditions around the world! Students will be visiting different country booths around the gym with their "passport", so be sure to ask your child about their trip!

On Friday, March 6th, students can dress up in clothing from their country or culture!

For example, the USA table is football-themed this year, so students can wear jerseys from their favorite sports teams.

The RAE yearbook captures priceless memories from Pre-K through 5th grade, from the Fall Fun Run and Field Day to the 2nd and 4th Grade Musicals, plus favorite clubs like Photography and Hands-On Science. It’s a keepsake your child will treasure for years to come!

Important Reminder: The RAE PTA does not order extra copies. That means once the deadline passes, there will be no yearbooks available for purchase in May.

Mother Son Night

Moms and their sons had a had a "glow-rious" time at Main Event, making memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to Tooba Sattar Sumbal, Sara Whitley, and Aryn Newnam for your time and energy in making this event a success for our RAE families!

We had a “totally tubular” time celebrating our Honorary Life Member recipients this week at the 80’s themed dinner reception hosted by KISD Council of PTAs.

KATY ISD NEWS

Straight Talk ’26: Raising the AI Generation

The schedule for the Straight Talk event has been moved to a new date. AI is rapidly evolving and Katy ISD is always working to stay current. You can tune in to the Katy ISD Board of Trustees Meeting on Monday evening to hear more about plans for integrating AI in our schools. We want to ensure that everyone has the most up to date insights, and therefore will be postponing our Straight Talk event for one month. The new date is March 23, 2026, and we hope you can still join us! To prevent confusion we have a new registration form.
